BRILLIANT!!!
Just so brilliant! I know...
Most people who have read THIS page-turner have done so in their young age (while in high school or college). Not my case. Many of them may have read it in a week or so (barely sleeping). Not my case. Lots of libertarians have experienced conversion after reading this book (and becoming who they are). Not my case.
I have read it at the age of 44; from mid-summer to the end of fall; and I had been a libertarian prior to that.
I also realize that...
Some Catholics, or Christians in general, might find this book lacking compassion, taking a harsh stance against (self-)sacrifice, even being anti-God - hence having a problem with that.
Being a Catholic myself, I had none. After all, what's so compassionate about helping people at gunpoint? More importantly, one does not need to be an atheist to appreciate the author's excellent ANALYSIS of the cause of social and economic collapse.
The credit simply needs to be given where it is due. And I think Ayn Rand deserves a ton of it for this MASTERPIECE, in which she so eloquently describes the role of the HUMAN MIND in a free and prosperous world.
You had better read it (before it’s too late)...
