WHAT A (EXTRA SLOW) SLOW BURN
the first half of the book would get max 2 stars from me bc it was soooo boring and just too many descriptions of everything and everyone was always blinking and i was actually thinking about not finishing a book for the first time
BUT
the second part of the book oh my good 5 stars!! i couldnt put it down and i couldnt stop thinking about reading it when i wasnt reading it and i was just missing the characters all the time. their love language being mean too each other was so good!!!
jasmine made me cry bc i saw myself in her, and the way she was feeling and thinking etc. and Ivan oh my good IVAAAAN i love this man. He just knows what hes doing and what hes supposed to do. HE KNOWS. two things that made me go SCREAMING CRYING was him calling her baby out of nowhere as if it was a normal thing for them, and taking her hand out of nowhere sjskjsksjjwk yes yes YES.
i didnt really enjoy the ending of the book i felt like it was too much and it wasnt needed, like them xyz years later and kids and all i just wasnt vibing with that epilogue
from now on i dont use the word standard, I use “Nathan Hawkins” the list of things I would do for this man is endless, i would even learn how to play hockey!! the way he took care of his girl. the way he took care of his boys. i would seriously die for him
things i loved: all the men in this book that were good to Stas!! i love ryan, henry, jj, … she had both quality and quantity of good men around her!!! the biggest quality might be her best friend tho, Lola you’re the best!! also the writing style of this book was soooo good, so easy to read, both her and his pov, love love love
things i didnt like: the mention of cruel summer playing in that uber scene, thanks to this i wont be able to listen to that song the same way ever again. also the interruption of that table scene with cream, Nutella and strawberries. i was really curious whats going to happen (in details)
things i hated: AARON!!!!! that piece of shit, oh my good i only wish him the worst and more broken arms, sorry not sorry
in conclusion, Nate is now my new favourite hockey book boyfriend

got this book as a gift from a friend, feeling unsure if im gonna like it but i loved it so much. it was all really cute and good and he was so in love with her im jealous now.
the only thing i did not like was that the end felt a bit rushed but at least it doesnt have that stupid epilogue of them being married and her being pregnat, so big thumbs up to the writter for that.
this was soooo good, so so so good!!! the way it was written omg yes!! not too much of anything and enough of everything at the same time. the fact that i read it in 1 day says it all.
i started reading this book just bc i wanted to finally read it, bc its been on my tbr since forever, but i had mixed feelings about it bc of its reviews. however i can now say that i was surprised in the best way. loved it.

as much as i hoped this book would be something i would love completely i was a bit disappointed. The smut was really smutting I can’t lie but the story was too simple for me and just missing something
I couldnt put this book down, holy sh*t!!!! There were moments where I literally had to scream out loud and not just closing the book and screaming inside, but there was a lots of that as well hahah. The sarcasm is what made me love this book even more. And I can say with full chest that I would read this book again, and that I love men but only fictional and that I will probably have dreams about Adam lol.
The only thing that I didn't like which is why I gave it 4/5 was that it was written in the 3rd person which was a bit annoying during some parts.
This is a very light reading and I enjoyed every bit of it. I have to say I didn't like how short the chapters were but at the same time it made sense. As a fan of F1 I enjoyed how there were methapors that had something to do with this amazing sport. It really showed the friendship between dog and human and how dog can sometimes end up being your only friend and hope.
The whole book I was waiting for the phrase "the art of racing in the rain" and oh boy when it came I was crying.
I wish I read this book before seeing the movie but after all the book and movie weren't exactly the same so it was still very enjoyable.
You will for sure fall in love with Enzo, I promise.
I will not talk about things that I liked about the book bc it would feel weird doing that. This book is just something else. It took me more than a month to get to the end bc I had to take some days of sometimes. There are no words to describe this book. I started reading the last chapter thinking: i always see people crying during the last part but what could possible be there in the last part to make me cry?? I even felt bad for not being sad while starting the last part. But then it came. And i was crying and crying and I couldnt even breathe properly. It feels good saying goodbye to this book and i will never read it again and i dont think i will be begging my friends to read it but at the same time im kind of glad i did read it.
Other things about book: very very long chapters; was a little bit hard to read it at some points as english is not my first language; this book is heavy af (literally and also for your mental health)
This book almost got five stars from me bc it was really an amazing read. It made me laugh out loud many times, and even though it lacks in some things (sm*t) the fact that there are so many amazing moments - cute and funny - makes it still a very good book. Was honestly scared to read this bc just few months ago this was a very popular book and then suddenly people started complaining but I have seriously nothing to complain about. It had action, it had a good book boyfriend who had some very nice comments that deserved my sticky notes to be placed in this book many times.
As someone who struggles with my body and how it looks, some parts felt very relatable.
I honestly thing that some parts of this book deserve way more recognition.
I would give this book 3.5 stars. There was just something missing ((smut)) and I was expecting more as this book was and still is so popular. I dont know if I like the main characters, but I can definitely relate to both of them in some ways. I wasnt a fan of this switching between present and past time, it was just very confusing.
But it was still a very comfortable reading. Wouldnt probably read it again but would tell people to read it.
