Still Lost: Tales from 2080

Set in a world that is not really dystopian, or utopian, but just ‘topian’, Still Lost follows the lives of its denizens in a strange new status quo. Our visitors have solved all existential threats - no climate change, no nuclear missiles, no singularity crisis.

And yet, in crisis we remain.

Across eight, interconnected stories, we meet a biologist grad student who tries to get her big break from visits with an alien sex worker. We encounter a baboon with human intelligence who live streams his life, only to be cyberbullied. We come across scientists who discover the shocking truth about grass. And we are introduced to a young man who must save his own life from the music that has taken him hostage.

Often funny and always profound, this ultra-timely work feasts on the follies and earnest absurdities of humanity.

An irreverent, wry and timely look at the not-so-distant future, Still Lost: Tales from the Year 2080 marks the arrival of a major new voice in science fiction.
