Not bad, not great either.

Not bad, not great either.
Being a fan I was expecting a book with some level of detail about the inner workings of LFC, even insider info on past crucial games over the Bobby era, even some humour, if possible. You get that to a very minor degree. Mostly you get a book about Bobby becoming a better person through faith, which is fine. Not sure if the ghost-writer is to blame or the subject did not share enough, it just fails to live up to the career Firmino had with LFC. Nevertheless, I thought I was buying a book on football, but after having finished the book, it is more of a personal testament of finding faith, on the backdrop of a football career. All in all, only one chapter really stands out, the rest were just okay. Having read biographies of a couple of ballers by now, I have to say, as good as a player may be, their books are generally a lousy waste of time. The only one exception that comes to mind is Brian Clough, which I recommend highly (an honest and funny account of his time in the game) and maybe Roy Keane, with his no filter approach (saying that as a LFC supporter).
