How to Teach Writing

How to Teach Writing is a practical guide to the theory of writing and to a range of approaches in the teaching of writing. It is intended for teachers at the beginning of their careers and for more experienced teachers and offers a description of the processes that people go through when writing, an analysis of different types of text in terms of genre and register, and of quality of writing in terms of cohesion, coherence and appropriacy. It also offers activities for the teaching of handwriting, spelling and punctuation.
