Andreas H. Bitesnich is the photographer whose name is on many magazine editors lips in Europe. As well as advertising work, his editorial work for "Stern", "GQ" and "Playboy" has taken him to every corner of the globe and, outside of assignment work, Andreas has captured the very essence of the landscape, the people, the buildings of the many lands he has visited. "Travel" is a collection of these personal photographs. The journey that "Travel" represents has taken ten years to complete and presents some of the most intimate and powerful observations of people and place. He leaps from portraiture to landscape from architecture to abstraction but each leap is made with the same eye for detail, with the same analytical approach to form and content resulting in the striking images we have come to associate him with. The photographs condense essential features of different countries: the lascivious joy of a Cuban street scene, the monolithic architecture of American megalopolises and the exotic charm of far-eastern cultures.
